Adoption

Obsidian was born in captivity in April 2019, and then arrived at the GWDC in May of that year with his littermate Bridger. He is a black-coated gray wolf, but that color has become lighter as he has grown. Obsidian is very vigilant in patrolling his territory, but also spends time playing with his brother. He is named after the black volcanic glass that forms Obsidian Cliff in Yellowstone. It is one of the most famous sources of the material anywhere in the world.
