The revitalized space will result in greater opportunities for visitor interaction, engagement and the way guests can connect to the animals. Yet, another piece of the puzzle allowing the GWDC to continue to offer an exceptional setting for education and discovery.
Happy bday to GWDC resident otter Moe who turned six on March 16th! In northern latitudes, river otters typically give birth from March thru May. Litter size is usually 1 to 6 young per litter weighing about 4 to 6 ounces are born with fur, but are otherwise helpless. They stay in family groups during the summer and early fall. They remain as a family unit for seven to eight months or until the birth of a new litter.
