Are you an educator looking for new ways to encourage learning experiences for your students? Are you looking for resources to help you teach your class about bears or wolves? The GWDC offers educators the opportunity to borrow a Teaching Trunk containing curriculum guides, books, videos, games, skulls and pelts. The trunks are available with curriculum for grades K-2, 3-4 or 5-6 and can be specifically about bears, wolves or a combination of both. We can even customize the trunks’ contents to meet your special needs - just let us know how! They can be shipped anywhere in the country.
Happy bday to GWDC resident otter Moe who turned six on March 16th! In northern latitudes, river otters typically give birth from March thru May. Litter size is usually 1 to 6 young per litter weighing about 4 to 6 ounces are born with fur, but are otherwise helpless. They stay in family groups during the summer and early fall. They remain as a family unit for seven to eight months or until the birth of a new litter.
